One the excellent and best service.

Last 4 years I am using their service and I am feeling finally I have found the best VPS. Their support is best and most time they available.

Поломали бекапи і не змогли відновити

Користувався сервісом два роки. Платив за щоденні і щотижневі бекапи. В результаті коли сервер був поломаний тоді зʼясувалось що бекапів немає. Ось так, і нічого зробити не вийде. Відповідь що можу йти у суд. Круто, я і сам розумію що можна йти у суд. Добре хоч визнають провину, але скільки часу буде тривати міжнародний суд. Причина всьому що бекапи серверу зберігали на тому ж самому сервері. Коли сервер поломався, тоді він пропав разом з бекапами. Я так і не зміг зрозуміти чому бекапи були на тому самому сервері, і за я платив. Ось така історія. Не довіряйте сервісам без репутації, в результаті втрати будуть більші. А основне краще робити бекапи власноруч, дешевий хостинг це одночасно і непрофесійний персонал. На скріну я запитую чітко де зберігаються бекапи. Пишуть що на окремому сервері. В результаті після того як сервер поломаний уже говорять що бекапів немає.

Hello Микола, it is a really unfortunate situation. However, we would like to clarify few things. Backups are truly stored on other servers. We have a whole bunch of storage nodes dedicated just for that. And we are able to restore those backups if needed. However, in your situation before backup restoration, you have reinstalled the server. When the server is reinstalled all backups are erased. We have a warning regarding this on the server reinstall page: WARNING: All data stored in server and backups will be erased! That is the only reason we did not have your backup on request.

Please ask your support for more details. I clearly told what I want and I got recommendations that I can close the container and all backups will be restored on another server. Yes, now I know that it was a support mistake. I have screenshots where I am writing that afraid to close the container because I need the data. But I got an answer that backups on another server and everything will be okay. I lost data for 2000$ because I trust the support. You know that the support told me to close the container. And now you tell that it can't be closed because all backups will be deleted. Can you explain what is the reason to delete all backups when the server was closed or reinstalled? Can you confirm that if someone gets access to the profile and reinstall the OS it will delete all data and all backups? What is the reason to have the backups? Where is your security? It doesn't make any sense to have the backups when it's so easy to destroy them. Do you agree that you have a big security issue?

Do you agree that the button to totally destroy a server with all backups in one click shouldn't exist? Just imagine that someone has a big project on your servers and you provide so big risks to lost everything without any possibility to restore. My problem was that the support told me the wrong instructions and the possibility to destroy everything in one click exists. I wrote the review to let you know the big problem. Your servers are good, I like the emergency console. But the backups system should be improved, in my view.
